Super Star Student! During the school year each student will have a whole week to shine! They will share some of their favorite things with the class and have a family member visit our classroom. The Super Star Student will also receive a certificate, pencil, sticker, and an 'all about me' poster to display on our Super Star Student bulletin board with some special pictures!

This week's Super Star Student is ....

    It's hard to believe it's already May! We started the month with a trip to the Lyndhurst Police Department. Mr. Lemanowicz and Mr. Auteri gave us a tour of the station and their truck! It was so much fun! The month ends with some extra days off for Memorial Day weekend because of unused snow days. School will be closed from Thursday, May 24th to Tuesday, May29th. Olympics are approaching, please wear blue or gold on our olympic day. 1st grade will do their events on Tuesday, June 5th from 9:40-10:30. Our last class trip is scheduled for Friday, June 8th to Imagine That. We're excited to touch, discover, learn and explore in all the exhibits.
    In L.A., we are learning contractions and reviewing letter clusters. It would help your child to review words in their Raceway Book. Please continue to study our weekly spelling words each night and return the bee paper colored every morning.
