Acts Passed by Parliament (Test Friday March 30)

1.        Impartial Administration of Justice Act- gave the Massachusetts governor power to relocate trials

2.     Quartering Act- mandate that the colonists house and feed the British soldiers (1765 and 1774)

3.     Sugar Act- raised taxes on items being shipped into colonies such as wine, coffee, dyes, cloth, and sugar

4.      Stamp Act- tax on paper goods- books, playing cards, and legal documents

5.     Currency Act- prohibited the colonies from printing money

6.     Declaratory Act- Parliament States that has authority over the colonies in all cases whatsoever

7.      Revenue Act- taxed imported glass, tea, lead, and painters’ colors

8.     Coercive Act- consists of four acts aimed at Massachusetts in part for the Boston Tea Party

9.     Townshend Act- established a customs board commissioner to collect taxes

10.   Boston Port Act-this act closed the Port of Boston
